A Nebraska native, Steven moved to Nashville in 2009 to compete as a 400/800-meter sprinter and javelin thrower at a private NCAA Division 1 school.
After receiving a Bachelors in Kinesiology & Exercise Science and a Masters in Exercise & Nutrition Science, Steven became a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Lipscomb University, where he also served as the sports massage therapist for the Track and Field program. He has also worked with the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators and Nashville Soccer Club organizations as well as professional MMA fighters and Olympic medalists.
Steven specializes in Fascial Stretch Therapy, Active Release Techniques, Sports Massage, Cupping, IASTM, and Kinesiology Taping. He is certified in Functional Movement Screening and is an advanced level coach in mobility and corrective exercise strategies. He also co-owns Innate Performance with his wife Louisa; a sports performance and personal training gym in Nashville.
When he isn't working, Steven enjoys lifting heavy weights, running trails, skateboarding, hitting the movies, and checking out the local food scenes in Nashville.
